Conan O'Brien took part in a truly memorable Hot Ones episode recently while promoting his new travel show Conan O'Brien Must Go, and to say he committed to the bit would be an understatement.

"People keep asking me if I'm OK," says O'Brien in the Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend clip above, before launching into an amusingly ridiculous description of how he put the spicy wing experience to good use after filming.

"I decided that after I ingested all that I wanted it to be useful," O'Brien says. "So I found a construction site where they were doing spot welding, and I went there and I said, 'Gentlemen, if you want I can weld these girders for you in I'm guessing about 15 minutes. You'll need to avert your eyes because I'll be dropping my pants.'"

The most painful real after-affect he experienced? Despite washing his hands straight after filming, some hot sauce got stuck beneath his wedding ring.

"It hasn't burned like that since they put it on me at the altar," O'Brien jokes.
